The Labshare Shaker Table provides a real world model of the effects of an earthquake on a multi level building.The building model can be oscillated by setting the drive frequency of the motor which is coupled to the base of the building model. At certain drive frequencies harmonics occur.

Downer EDI are building the next generation Waratah train which will be introduced to Sydney in April 2011. SciWare was involved in the development of a cRIO solution to log and process the signals from up to 60 strain gauge transducers arranged around the test carriage. SciWare provided a unique solution for the implementation of the ASTM E 1049-85 rainflow counting algorithm to quickly process all 60 channels acquired at 200Hz over several hours. |

SMR develop, manufacture and distribute rear vision systems for the international automotive industry. SciWare and Danalog worked together to provide SMR a test solution for their Mirror Control Module (MCM), Mirror Switch (MS) and High Speed Power Fold (HSPF) products.

The Labshare Coupled Tanks rig allows students to learn about PID control in a negative feedback system.
The software developed by SciWare measures the level in each tank and controls the pump flow rate via PID control. Students can set the PID parameters and setpoint in closed loop control mode or run the pump directly in open loop mode. More... |

The Labshare Inclined Plane rig allows students to perform remotely experiments that demonstrate the effects of static and kinetic friction. Students can select either a Nylon, Aluminium or Teflon block and then set the angle for the block to run.

The Labshare Loaded Beam rig allows civil and structural engineering students to investigate the tensile and compressive forces in a beam under load. Pneumatic rams controlled by proportional valves provide loading forces while LVDT displacement transducers measure the deflection. The student can select a particulars loading experiment which will drive the beam through a particular loading profile over time. The displacement and load curves are logged and are used to compare against theoretical models.
SciWare developed the control and automation software, the system is completely script driven which allows for easy customisation of each test. More... |
